Spark Your Creativity

If your Creativity well has run dry and you're feeling depleted, it's time to refuel!

Take some great advice from Orna Banarie, a new Facebook friend of mine. Here's one of Orna's invaluable tips ...

Once a week at an hour minimum take yourself out for a refueling break. Do something all by yourself – and NO multi-tasking! I’m a stickler on this point – if your refueling break is to go for a walk, and you have a dog – you cannot walk the dog. This walk would be for you, and you alone. Take your time doing whatever it is you choose. Select something different each week for at least a dozen weeks – that’s twelve refueling breaks before repeating an activity! Go to a museum, a hike, to the beach and put your feet in the sand, buy new makeup, try a new recipe and cook yourself a fancy meal, go dancing. That thing you’ve been saying you always wanted to go do – NOW is the time. This break is for you – to rediscover what inspires YOU. What fills your well of creativity? Challenge yourself – s t r e t c h -- grow and discover what motivated you to begin in your chosen craft. Re-discover what started you off way back at the beginning.

If you don't take care of yourself, who will?

Melanie,
Your friend Orna is a very wise woman. You are truly blessed to have met her. Being a yellow like you are, you are so busy taking care of others. Who takes care of YOU? You will have to spend the time to refuel, pamper yourself, YOU deserve it. You are a true "Go-Giver" and you will accomplish everything in life that you desire.
Thank you for being my Mentor and Hero. Anyone needing help or inspiration should get in contact with this amazing woman, she won't let you down.

Friends Forever
